I have been partaking in the Formula Off Road competition in Iceland for several years. For the last five years I have place no. 2 down to 5, both in the World Cup and in the Icelandic Champion Competition in the standard class.

For the last two seasons, I have been driving a new car, which was built two years ago. It is based on a CJ-5 frame with custom built aluminium body and a fiberglass front end. It has Dana 44 front and rear axles and airbag suspension. The engine is a Chevy 350 with GM 350HO heads and when using nitrous, it is making somewhere between 550-600hp. The transfer case is a Dana 20 and the car has a GM 350 automatic transmission. The car was built by me and a few friends. Though we did most of the work ourselves, it was very expensive.

For the oncoming season, we are making a few changes to the car. We are lowering the front suspension and doing major overhaul of the motor (adding 50-100hp while we are at it).

Enough said about the car, here is some information about me. I am a 43 year old used car dealer in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. I am married with four children. I started in Formula Off Road competition ten years ago. Before that, I did some dragracing.

The Formula Off Road competition is becoming very popular on television in many countries, as you can see in the enclosed documents from the Icelandic Motorsport Association.
